It’s crazy how many WENTELTRAPS were lined up on the beach at the lighthouse.
Treasure hunters Allen and Dawn were finding lots of the minis before heading up to Venice, FL for shark’s teeth.
Here is the video I shot the same day as my last post. You’ll see exactly where we were looking…. and finding all of those wentletraps! Notice how far up on the beach we were AND how many wentles I was missing! This is sort of a “How to find” and a “How to miss” wentletraps video. ;) Enjoy!
We were sitting here watching the video and exclaiming, ” There’s one! And there’s one!” LOL :) Thanks for the virtual wentletrap shelling excursion!
I have lived in pensacola over two years and have never found one of those, i cant wait to get there!
Pam, You don’t have a wentletrap notecard in your line! That handfull is beautiful.
Also, did you see that beautiful triton that Sanibel Toot’s friend found. It was huge.
Ooh! What pretty lighting in that last shot! I love the warm pinks. hope you have a great weekend!

What fun! We were there last week and only found 6. Wonder what is different this week? Hunting for wentletraps is one of our favorite things to do.
Thanks Pam….really enjoyed this trip with you!! I too was hollering there…2 there….over there…wait…go back….! What fun!! Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us poor folks up north here sitting at our desks in our cubicles!! You can’t possibly know how much it means!! I’ll be right there with you on the next trip….you can count on me!!
Love the video:) Even though we just got back and going again in November watching this just makes me want to get in my car and head on down now:) Your videos are just…Awesome :)
I have yet to find one on the Texas coast… not even one.
(sigh)
Thanks for the virtual shelling trip! I saw so many shells I would have picked up….I don’t think I’ve ever found a wentletrap before (can that be? I’ve been coming to Captiva for over 20 years!), but now I know where and what to look for. Thanks!
Great cyber-shelling…thanks so much for taking us along. It’s the next best thing to being there. I can’t believe how many wentletraps were lying around! I always have to work so hard to find one or two. I just discovered your awesome site and can’t wait to read your old posts. If the wentletrap video is any indication of the rest of the content, I will be entranced, delighted and exquisitely tortured with shelling-angst!
You will be all of the above and more…I constantly go back through all the post.
Thanks again Pam
Love it! My husband and I are headed down for a week at Sanibel tomorrow….this is really getting me excited! Maybe we will see you out on the beach!
Wow, that was great. I keep saying “Pam, you missed one”. What fun!!
Thanks.
Oops…you missed a few! LOL
Wonderful fun watching you gather such precious shells. Please if you do not mind I would like to know who did the music?
Have a glorious weekend. Shell-allujiah!

Hi Pam,
I’ve tried to watch the wentletrap videos, but nothing loads. Did they maybe get lost in the web site update? Hope you can get the links restored.
