The sky was so pretty looking over at the Sanibel from the new sand bar beach on the Captiva side of Blind Pass.
Clark and I stopped there to see the changes after our fabulous weekend hanging out in our booth at Chadwick’s Square for the Holiday Marketplace. We had a fantastic time getting to know more shellers, giving away shells and showing off our new merchandise. We also had front row to the stage to see cooking demonstrations, painting demos, ice sculpting… oh my gosh.. I could go on. But the best thing for me? I was so thrilled to meet blog friends and shelling sisters.
Thank you all for stopping by! You have no idea how much it meant to me.
It was a perfect way to end the day to stop to see the beach.
I had to smile when I saw this broken piece of TULIP shell lying there on the sand bar. It’s exactly what Val from New Mexico uses for her flowers and leaves to make beautiful ornaments. I love mine!
PS- There are 20 mph West winds kicking up the gulf right now…. shelling is right around the corner!
Pam, I swear – every time I see that Columbia aqua blue it reminds me of you. Wouldn’t that be great if Columbia would sponsor us for a professional shelling team.. They sponsor fisherman…hey our passion for shells is just as viable as hooking a stupid fish. So fun, all the folks you are meeting. I Love Shelling – making the planet a better place one shell at at time!

I just can’t believe and get over that sand bar!!! It’s so different from when I was just there on vacation and now I’m back in Michigan! It’s so Crazy…does it go all the way across….Capitava to Sanibel?
Pretty amazing…how quickly the beach landscape can change. That sunset point picture is lovely. And Pam, I must say I really love the blue color you have chosen for the shelling shirts! Eleven days and counting…looks like shelling could be a full time job! Don’t ya just love it? Can’t wait to see the next few day’s entries! Have a blast!
