Dun-da. Dun-da…….Jaws?
At Algiers Beach, Bill and Maureen from Alexandria, Virginia told me about an 8 inch “completely intact” whelk they found this week. They came to Sanibel for the first time in March and already came back for a second time this year. I think they’re hooked!
Speaking of “hooked”, Bill then casually added that a guy casting from the beach just pulled in a shark right before I got there. Okay, it was a baby…”but I think it was a hammerhead” he said.
It’s not rare that fishermen will catch sharks around here but it is RARE that they bite us. Don’t worry, shell happy.
