I checked out most of the beaches this morning and the only place I saw that had promise for new shells was Blind Pass.
The few good shells that had already shown up were scooped up by Erica and her daughter Olivia. This was Olivia’s first time shelling and she already knew the names of most of the shells she found. She said “I found 9 LETTERED OLIVES!”. She just didn’t say OLIVES, she knew which OLIVES…. pretty smart, huh? Erica told me that they studied up on some of the shells that they might find before they came for their stay on Captiva.
I’ll be there tomorrow morning. Hope to see you then, Olivia, so you can tell me what else you find.
