“We are fa-mi-ly……I got all my sisters with me” is the tune that popped in my head when I met Pat shelling in that big new pile of shells at Blind Pass. She is visiting from Indiana along with three of her sisters-in-law Dorothy, Sue and Stella. They are here to visit with another sister-in-law Betty who lives full time in Sanibel. They had bags and buckets filling up with SCALLOPS, CONCHS, OLIVES and KITTEN’S PAWS. “Get up everybody and sing!” (This the the time when I wish I could put in the musical note symbol so you’d know that was the rest of the song- heehee)
I’m soooooo jealous!! I have to wait until October for my return trip to Sanibel. I would LOVE to be there shelling now!!
Well, until then Sheri, I’ll try to keep posting more good pictures of the shell mounds that are coming in so you can do some virtual shelling. Thanks for writing!
