Clark and I boarded Captiva Cruises 45′ pontoon boat “Playtime” out of McCarthy’s Marina this afternoon along with 24 of our bundled and layered up friends for a sunset cocktail cruise. It was still really chilly (I feel bad calling it “cold” when I know others are fighting the snow) but every layer of clothing was worth putting on to see this Captiva sunset. The sunset was gorgeous, the gulls were soaring, the dolphins were jumping and after the sky was ablaze with oranges and pinks on the western horizon, the brilliant full moon was rising on the eastern horizon. Sooooo awesome!! Thank you Weiners, Dales and Millers for an evening to remember.
PS- Captiva Cruises is also known for their shelling cruises to Cayo Costa and North Captiva Island…..2 of our favorite shelling spots. Cayo Costa is great for finding SAND DOLLARS and NORTH CAPTIVA has been our best place for finding WORM SHELLS.
Wow – stunning photos! Look at those colors.
Pretty impressive sunset! And I LOVE the moon shot!!

Just want to add my voice … any of these could be postcards! Pam, your website is one I come to first every day and it never fails to lift my spirits.
5 Days Until Sanibel, Whoo Hoo! I’m only sorry I’m going to miss the Shell Fair. Hope you post some of the winning entries.
