There were beautiful sandy beaches on Captiva where I was today…but not many shells. The place to be for shelling was the lighthouse on the east end of Sanibel….where Clark was this afternoon. He got there around 5:30 pm and he says there were MUREXES, FLORIDA FIGHTING CONCHS and PEAR WHELKS everywhere and scooped up this beautiful FLORIDA CONE in the surf . He says it looks like tomorrow should be excellent since there are plenty of shells in the surf that will be easy pickins in the morning.
