Thank you so much for all the pictures from the Shell Fair! Someday I hope to be able to attend it in person but for now your posts are a great subsitute. Thanks! Keep them coming.
I was born and grew up in Dunedin so I really love Pats Honeymoon Island
display. We belong to the same shell club in Clearwater. I found there a few months back a junonia and had no one around me to yell “HEY< LOOK WHAT I FOUND". My 15 yr old son found a 12 in whelk and I found a 13 in horse conch, so I know how you felt when you found your welk.
Thank You so much for your blog I long to be digging through a pile of shells when life gets stressful I look at your blog and it makes me feel so much better. Kelly
So glad to have met you last Sunday and now to find you.
First, thank you for Esther’s blue ribbon picture above. I could spend hours on your site and probably will once I get an internet connection.
I wanted to tell you about my adventure the very next day on the beach where we met. We took some pics of the brittle star and I gave you a sand dollar from the Oregon coast.
Things were slowed way down Monday in the shell dept on that same beach. When I crossed the sand bar, however, things picked up. I noticed some strange markings in the sand and then the creature that had made them: a seahorse!!
I got my camera out and started shooting. I assumed he was dead, but had to be sure. When I took him to a tide pool, HE MOVED!!!
