We didn’t get to the beach today but we did get to see some great shells at our friends Susan and Craig’s house for a dinner party. Susan is an artist who loves to decorate with color and shells so, of course, I loooove her style. She has designed their home to be the perfect Captiva beach house complete with her newly made shell mirror and sconce with most shells that she has found on the beach near her home. It was a pleasure to be surrounded by so much seashell eye candy….and great company. Thank you Craig and Susan for letting me take pictures to share!

They have truly designed their home so beautiful down to the color of their furniture. My favorite is Susan’s & Craig’s shell mirror. Thank you for posting these photo’s & thank you Susan & Craig for making such gorgeous shell items.
It’s always fun to see what other people make with shells. It gives me new ideas. I loved the sconce. That’s the first time I’ve seen that done and now I have some new inspiration. Keep them coming!
Hi Pam,
I’m new to your blog and just love it! I was so amazed to see all your finds at your island and want to visit myself and go shelling! I love all the creative ways to display shells and get inspired each time I visit. Thanks so much for sharing!

The house is beautiful– the shells are awesome! That’s it-I’m pulling out the mirror I bought months ago and digging out my shell glue :)
What is the best glue to work with??
I’ve had a lot of luck with the shell glue that is sold at She Sells Sea Shells on Sanibel Island- works great when attaching shells to wood. Hope this helps you- happy shelling!
