Where have the days gone? I haven’t been to the beach in a few days -I’m having withdrawals! The world doesn’t seem to be in line or something, I don’t know. I think I might be having sympathy pains for my poor little Smittie the pretty kitty who we rescued 11 years ago as a flea ridden kitten from Smith and Wollensky Steakhouse (Miami’s South Beach) parking lot. She hasn’t been feeling well (UTI) this past month but even when she’s sick she looks so cute in her favorite place in the world… her very own bowl that she has curled up in since she was 5 weeks old. Every day she relaxes in her bowl surrounded by seashells …. a perfect Rambo kitty.
Oh no, take good care of Smittie, the shells will always be there. Today I stopped at our public works department in town and there I met PW. The department had found her as a kitten loaded with fleas, starving, out by the dumpster. She now lives in the office, her nickname is Pee and she is an American bobtail… Happy endings…
So take care of Smittie!
What a purr-fect seashell picture!
What a beautiful picture! I love, love, LOVE cats and shells…and Smittie’s picture links the two. My cat pumpkin loves blankets and sun puddles, though she hasn’t experienced my shell collection yet.
I hope Miss Smittie feels better soon! Thank you for sharing such a great picture too :-)
That’s great you’re taking such good care of that beautiful kitty. Like the others who write hereI love both shells and cats.
i have a kitty that found me too! my maggie is 18 years old and i treasure every day with her. get well wishes from maggie and me to Smittie !
I love this picture. My cats squeeze into the funniest places. But I never get lucky enough to get a photo. Hope she feels better soon.
Smittie is too cute! She looks like a little bandit with her mask on! Hope she gets well soon. I know what it’s like to nurse a little fur baby!!
She’s a gorgeous cat!
Cute photo! I love kitties…but they do not love me (ah-choo!). That makes me sad. But I do have my doggies…
Thanks for visiting AG…I love the area in which you live, too. It’s been awhile since I was in Lee County for more than soccer. It’s time for a road trip…

awww, that is too too sweet!! Smittie is a lucky kitty!
now Pam… it is not really fair for you to have withdrawl symptoms when you live right there ! You can only have withdrawl when you don’t know when the next time you’ll get to any beach will be. But thank you for easing my withdrawl symptoms by sending a bit of the beach nearly everyday !!
My Hope (Samoyed) has had a UTI and a recurrence in the past month, so I can identify. She is 11 1/2 and I worry about her. She is such a good girl. I’ve now added some supplements to her diet.
Take care of your little girl, they only ask we be there for them.
You can always go shelling!
….I hope she gets better real soon….nothing like our pets!!! The unconditional LOVE is endless….
aww she is soo cute pam!!! i hope she feels better. im a cat lover too and i have three cats at home. its funny how all cats have their own little place.
Hope Smittie feels better soon! If only cats could talk and tell us exactly how they are feeling.
Smittie’s doctor called today with the results of her latest tests……
She’s healthy again!!!!
Yippee!….. no more antibiotics! whew
Thank you for all of your well wishes
How sweet is Smittie. That is so wonderful you rescued her. I work near Smith & Wollensky in South Beach. I rescued a kitten near there once as well. And found her a good home. Love this post – as it reminded me of that sweet little calico.
