Anybody who loves shells, loves the Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum. I know I do! That’s why Clark and I attended this Celebrity Servers Island Dinner event at Traders to raise funds for the museum. Pictured above is Mike Valiquette (PURRE), Kathleen Hoover (Public Relations Manager BMSM), Anne Joffe (Vice President BMSM), Darlene Grossman (Development Officer BMSM), and Jose H. Leal (Director/Curator BMSM).
Anne Joffe made sure every table was happy with their dinner and drinks. She is not only the Vice President of the Shell Museum, she is also the owner of She Sells Sea Shellson Sanibel.
We all “shelled” out a few bucks to have an excellent meal for a fantastic cause.
I took my mom to the museum for Mother’s Day. I’ve been several times and every time I see something different. I especially like the Sailor’s Valentine display. Their gift shop is just wonderful and very reasonable for the quality of the products.
Been there many times. Love it! And of course I’ve shopped in She Sells Sea Shells, the old one on Periwinkle Way. Glad you had a good time.
The Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum is starting to get the recognition that it well deserves. Jose Leal, Anne Joffe and many others have done a great job at developing the museum into what it is today. No one can think of Sanibel Island and not think of the many shells that are found there. The museum provides a place for casual and serious shell collectors to see and study these beautiful creations. Glad you had a nice time supporting the museum.
