It was a beautiful beach stroll on the east end of Sanibel near the lighthouse.
An APPLE MUREX was our biggest find.
We found two SEA BEANS .
…..and a BUTTON SHELL. We didn’t see big shell piles but it was simply a beautiful afternoon.

That apple murex pic is simply heavenly. How did you ever capture that sky? What a cute pic of the strollers. Every mom would like that for a memento.
Take good care,
Karen
What a great sunset photo!!! Just gorgeous. :)
I found several of the murex also when I was there. A button shell! I would have walked right by… I did find some dead sea oats in the surf so I picked them up to make jewelry. I got some pieces of shell to make jewelry with also.
looks great to me!
You take the most beautiful pictures————
Simply beautiful! Sanibel is one of my favorite places!
Incredible!!!!
Your apple murex picture is quite lovely. What a great sunset! However did you take that picture? Looks like you almost had to lie down flat to get it! Thank you for sharing the beauty of Sanibel with us, Pam.
I get very sandy and very wet… maybe that’s why my cameras dont last very long- ugh!
Gorgeous pictures…please save some of those sunsets and shells for us…we’ll be there next week…I’m so excited!
yesterday i was shelling at the light house and blind pass. lots of murex and i was lucky to find a perfect lace murex that is pure white…..small but gorgeous. shells were rolling in with the waves at low tide on blind pass…never saw that before and what a treat to see and experience. pam, thank you for sharing the beauty of sanibel with your pictures. for those of us that don’t get there too often those pictures are quite a gift. happy shelling….
Those pictures are beautiful! They look like paintings.

OOh…I needed those photos this morning! Beautiful….just beautiful:)
Great pics on a frosty morning up north :)
Thank you for the mini vacation. I’m wishing for a real one on your beautiful island this winter. Fingers crossed!
Greetings from Blind Pass!
Pam, Thanks for more great pictures. You always truly capture the beauty of whatever you’re photographing–quite a talent. Sorry we didn’t get a chance to meet the week of Thanksgiving. I’m hoping to be back on the island in January for another “Mother/Daughter” trip with my daughter-in-law. Maybe we can get together then. Until that time, keep taking those pics!
Pam, the murex + sunset photo is absolutely stunning! Thank you for sharing!
Pam, this is a fabulous post!
I am so incredibly jealous – LOVE where you live
Caron
Those photos are fantastic!! Wow! Ok…gotta plan my next trip down (thank goodness we only live 2 1/2 hours away!!)
Wonderful pics. You should enter them in Watery Wednesday. The Bavarian Christmas linky party is now open-won’t you come and join us at http://dobermans-by-the-sea.blogspot.com/2010/11/1st-christmas-linky-party-at-dobermans.html and while you are there join the give-a-way going on today.
Looks beautiful, wish we were there for a nice walk on the beach. Thanks for sharing!
I have Sanibel on my list of places I want to visit! I love to walk the beach and look for shells…this would be heaven for me! Love your photos! Hugs! ♥
Leaving for Oceans Reach next week – can’t wait. Hope to see you on Captiva next weekend – wish we could make the luminary event. Your pictures do not lie – it really is a piece of heaven on earth. You seem to do so well at Blind Pass and we just seem to get wet and not great shells – will try again.
Blind Pass hasn’t been filled with shells lately. Sanibel has been better shelling lately but then the last week hasn’t been over the top either. We are expecting a cold front with north winds this week so this might be great timing for you to bring in the good shells again. You should find treasures right on your beach.
We will definitely be out there looking – usually do good there. Look forward to meeting you on Captiva over next weekend – where will you be?
Are you still doing/enjoying early beach walks?
