Watching a Sanibel sunset is like watching an artist paint their interpretation of paradise on canvas.
Each night a different artist’s painting is featured…but for only a few minutes.
The feeling of peace is expressed in each piece of art to create the perfect ending for each day.
A momentous occasion is witnessed in each evenings performance.
ohmygosh, Pam – those are beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing with us!! :)
Absolutely stunning photos!! Every time I catch a sunset, I thank God for the blessing of living in SWFL!!

Hi Mary Ann! Ooooohhhhhh….Which one would you like to buy? :) <3
Hey Pam, the 1st, 3rd, 4th & 5th. Are you on redgage? People sell their photos there.
Much luv & thx,
Mary Ann
I looked up redgage… whew- A little confusing. But! I am trying out starting with a few notecards of the sunsets to see if that’s really what you would like. Could you look at this link and see if this is along the lines of what you are looking for? I have one framed print in the mix but I can change that to any of the photos as well. And if not, canvas art? Check out this link… UPDATE: I removed this link since I just received my first sample notecard I ordered and I didnt think the quality was good enough. Ack! Back tot he drawing board. Sorry!
Thx Pam,
Yes I was interested in turning the prints onto canvas, but ill take em any way I can. Keep posting the prints, awesome, thx so much.
Mary Ann
I can get them on canvas for you now too! I’ll send you info!
Gorgeous
Gorgeous
Espeshelly appreciated from TUCSON,
where our puny monsoon rains this summer
did not bless us with desert sunsets we look forward to.
Thank you so much :)
They were espeshelly for you! Heehee
Lovely photos! Will be watching the sunsets on Sanibel in two weeks. And will meet you on the shelling trip on Nov. 7!
Oh Candace! I’m looking forward to meeting you!!!
Love those sunsets. The beach renourishment on Captiva is bringing in some shells, but hard to get to them. (no parking) They are on South Seas beach now and working toward Redfish Pass. Too bad, we are leaving this morning for Sanibel. Pam, we will be looking for you on the beach. We are staying at King’s Crown.
Too beautiful for words.
OMG- what a beautiful sight
They are all gorgeous! My husband liked #2 and #5. I like to take sunset pictures, but yours are so much better. Hope the shelling is good this weekend.

Here in the Pacific Northwest, people along the beach pause for a few minutes and watch as the sun sinks below the horizon. It’s such a peaceful and restful few minutes, as everyone from family to total strangers are connected by pausing to watch this beautiful display of simple nature. When you think about how many people around the world stop to watch a sunset, it’s pretty cool! Thanks for sharing such beautiful pictures.
OMG! These are too beautiful to express in words! I am in total awe at what we are graced with everyday if we but stop and just look. Right? It’s truly breathtaking. THANK YOU for sharing this beauty with us who can’t be there to witness for ourselves. I try and find something to appreciate outdoors each day wherever I am. But I sure wish I was there on the beach with y’all! LOL
Have a blessed weekend everyone and as always…HAPPY SHELLING!
Oh, how I needed this today. They are so beautiful, thank you Pam. February can’t come soon enough.
Truly Heaven on Earth!!!!
So beautiful — I could envision a calendar full of nothing but Sanibel sunsets…
Exactly what I thought when I saw these beautiful photos, Susan! How about it, Pam? :)
Heehee I’m almost done with the next calendar!!! I cant wait to show you!!!! I just have to make sure the printing is perfect then I hope to show it off on THURSDAY! Im so excited!
Hmmmmm… Dare I do TWO?
127 more days to go til I’m there again!!!!!! I can’t hardly stand the wait!!! Love your posts!!!!!
that 1st photo is surreal. Love it. Please tell me exactly what camera you used. I want to see if I can afford to buy it?
I use a Panasonic lumix with Leica lens. It’s a point and shoot camera- nothing fancy and very affordable. The model I use changes constantly because I’m sort of a clutz so I ruin them frequently. Ack!
Gorgeous. Oh how I miss Sanibel.
Gorgeous Pam! The sunsets on Sanibel are one of my favorite parts of our trip.
Thanks for sharing them.
Pam,
These just took my breath away; is it the scene or the photographer who composed the shot?!!! I would love to buy one, too, especially #1. How do I do that? It will be a birthday present to myself, although you already gave me an awesome present just by posting these on my birthday!!
Thank you!!
Cindy
Hi Cindy, Thank you Thank you! I’ve always wanted to sell my art and photographs but I’m always too busy shelling and blogging to figure it out- LOL So…. Im not sure what you would like but I have a few of these sunset on notecards for sale. Did you have something else in mind? I’ve looked into doing them on canvas and if you would like to talk further about getting that done, let me know and I will shoot you an email and we’ll figure it out together. Okay? Again.. Thank you Thank you!
Check out this link… UPDATE: I removed this link since I just received my first sample notecard I ordered and I didnt think the quality was good enough. Ack! Back tot he drawing board. Sorry!
Pam, when I saw this post I started sobbing. Those sunsets are so beautiful, and when I saw the date on them… A good friend of my family passed on the morning of October 17th. I was busy all day, and so did not hear about it until about sunset. He was an artist, and I said something like, “Now that he’s in heaven, he’s probably painting nebulae and sunsets.” Several weeks later, seeing this post, I just know that God planned for you to post it to comfort us.
Thank you so much,
Lydia
Oh Lydia, I’m sorry for your loss. Some times I just get a feeling and I can’t post anything about shells- I get overwhelmed by the beauty of the sunsets so I have to share them …and this time I truly felt like over several days we saw an artists gallery in the sky.
