John captured his masterpiece with a palette of seascape undertones…
Carol shared her shell perspective with an esthetic splash of color with a mixed media using orchids and butterfly ALTERNATE TELLINS…
Malgorzata’s avant-garde creation illustrated the many possibilities of collecting miniatures…
The Texas sisters Lisa, Sunnye and Suzanne shared an assemblage of shell variants in their gallery of abstracts…
Iron Man Bill chose to compose his canvas with his minimalist perspective from shelling while water snorkeling. (Oh and btw, -stepping out of the silly “artsy” language for a minute- he truly is a competitive Iron Man- wow!)

Suzi’s impressionistic style set off by brilliant pigments, designed a collage of remarkable beauty.

For me too, Sarah. I love how creative each group gets! Looks like some great finds, Pam!!
Fantastic photos and displays. I don’t know how you can pick a winner-they all look like winners to me. Pat
Looks like so much fun! I hope to attend a Shellabaloo someday!
Miss Shellabaloo, Sanibel, and you two too!
It seems as if each shellabaloo outing attendees are getting more and more creative in their displays. I want to attend one so badly.
PAM.. I was reading Midwest Living Magazine the other day and recognized a familiar smile. Yes Pam there was your picture with a quote about shelling. You never know when and where Pam is going to shareher love for Sanibel island and the treasures from the sea. Good for you L-O-R-E-E
I love that necklace! We will be in Sanibel for the day at the end of May! I can’t wait!!!
OMG! I love to see so many VIP Shellabaloo-ers comments. Hi Y’all! It is so much fun to reminisce about our time and to “see” you on a page all together. I miss you!!!
And L-O-R-E-E (btw- i miss you too- ;)) … what? wow! what kind of picture is there of me in that magazine? Is it part of AAA travel magazine? Is it an article or an ad from The Beaches Of Fort Myers-Sanibel? Cool!
Julie, If we do another one I hope you will join us!
They all just fabulous.
Just amazing and so very creative.
Fantastic! Well done everyone. Great pictures and so much fun for us all to see. Thanks Pam.
I love that landscape with the cloud, the sun, flowers, butterflies and little worm snail creature walking along!
I hope Pam won’t mind if I announce (for those readers who are, or will be, in the New York City area) that Saturday May 10th will be the annual American Museum of Natural History’s “Identification Day” event, when members of the general public can bring in items for museum scientists to identify. This event will run from noon to 4 pm, and is set up very near the museum’s main entrance, but on the lower level. I will be staffing the mollusk table, and I am expecting to see some cool shells, including I hope, some Sanibel material! :)
Have a fantastic time- I’m sure you’ll see really cool stuff!
Susan, unfortunately I won’t be able to come up this year but I’m sure you will see some interesting things and be able to help a lot of people.
I do want to tell anyone who is thinking about going that it was a great experience last year and that Susan is very knowledgeable and helpful. You won’t regret going.
Pam, what a wordsmith you are :)
I’ve added your “arteeests” names to my SHELLCABULARY LIST !!
