BUBBLE SHELLS were bountiful at Gulfside Beach during the morning’s low tide.
While being fascinated with a thick tidal line of bubblicious BUBBLE SHELLS…
I was thrilled to stumble on some other cutie itty bitty shells like WENTLETRAPS and SPARSE DOVE SHELLS.
If I hadn’t been squatting low to the sand, I would have missed this teensie BABY’S EAR. So happy I had my nose to the grind shells.
It was such a lovely morning, I want to share it with you! Get yourself comfy ’cause you can walk (or squat) along with me on this warm, calm Sanibel morning where thousands of BUBBLE SHELLS lined the beach.
Pam,
Watching your shelling adventure of the mini shells is just the most wonderful way to start the day! Thank You!!
Can’t wait till I can wake up and start my days shelling!! Only about 5 months to go.

So cool. About a month ago at the lighthouse beach, I actually picked up about 30 wentletraps (thanks to Pam’s teaching me how to look for them in the “coffee grounds”!). Wow – never before have I had that kind of luck. Right time right place, I guess. Looking forward to more shells again.
Wow! Looking forward to hopefully finding such wonderful little beauties in 20 days! See you on the beach!
Nothing like shelling right from my cozy bed on a sunday morning in chilly michigan! Only 40 DAYS till Sanibel! I’m all signed up for your shelling cruise too! Can’t wait!
Pam-
Thanks for sharing your beautiful Sanibel morning with me! It’s the next best thing to being there. I can’t wait to get back to the island! I was there in Sept. and went to Cayo Costa with your group and I have to say I am smitten. I have fallen in love with Sanibel and am already planning my next trip. You truly live in paradise.

I saw some really neat things in you video that I would have loved to pick up! Coming to Sanibel is one of my hopes this fall.
WENTLETRAP Sighting! yes, you were right. check out 4:14-4:16, lower left center, I think you missed that one : )
I got a bunch the other day when there! Also got good views of jellyfish and good whiffs of sea squirts! Found some great itty bitties!
PAM- wait, wait -You left a whole bunch of bubbles right THERE in the sand. Can’t do that..they will float away…. I don’t have any bubbles left in Cholla. – they seem to be seasonal. Oh how I envy you all – and wish I could be there to share it.

your teasing me with these great posts, but I thank you for the info and the pictures showing how you slowly look for good shells and then move on to get more so patient and precise thank you sincerely r.g.stein
WOW…you found a nursery of all babies! So cool…I love how you focus on the little ones…my first trip to Sanibel seemed like we only focused on finding the “big ones”. You introduced us to the “minis” and now it’s a whole new ball game, so to speak. (Just finished watching the Packers beat Miami) But it’s also true of life…sometimes the little things have more meaning. LOVED the video. Maybe next time shoot us a cyber shelling photo to peruse, ok? Hope you found oodles of goodies!
Pam,
I wanted you to know that I am such a fan of your blog that I have read every post! I went through all of the archives and enjoyed every one of them! Thank-you for all of the fun times reading your blog. I have learned a lot from you!
Pam, my friend Pat and I were there on Wednesday and were amazed at the amount of Bubble Shells we saw. Also collected a few goodies as well.
Bubblicious bubbles is good…but this is all I could hear in my head…
Tiny bubbles (tiny bubbles)
In the line
Makes me happy (makes me happy)
Makes me feel fine!
So here’s to the golden moon
And here’s to the silver sea
And mostly here’s a toast
To you and me!
I don’t always comment, but i always LOVE your videos! They are so therapeutic, so relaxing after a stresfsful day, thank you Pam!
Thanks for the cybershelling video. I found a lot of bubble shells at Lighthouse Beach back in August. Love them! We arrive in 4 days! Can’t wait to get my toes in the sand and my shells in the bucket.
Love virtual shelling with you Pam. Can’t wait to shell in person with you in December!
Oh how I love a good drift line full of tiny shells!
I love the baby shells, too!! They are really a miracle of nature.
Pam, I have question and I hope it is okay if I ask it here. I saw that there is a shelling trip with you to Cayo Costa on November 10.
I am only arriving late in the night of November 8 from Germany and stay in Naples. I have no idea how tired I might be or how long it will take me during the morning traffic to go from Naples to Sanibel/Captiva. Would it be possible if I make it on time to just buy a ticket for the cruise directly the morning of November 10 before boarding the boat?
Would be so great if you could give me an answer. Again, sorry that I post that here but I could not find another address for my question.
