After meeting with some friends at Island Inn Sanibel, I stepped out on their beach to watch sunset… spectacsheller.
Even the RUDDY TURNSTONES were enjoying the seashells and the warm gentle waves of the Gulf Of Mexico.
It still takes my breath away to look at this view.
Espeshelly when I find a hidden treasure.
Ahhhh…. can’t you just picture yourself doing that Sanibel Stoop?
My husband and I stayed at the Island Inn in late August and were so happy with their beach that we had a hard time leaving to explore other beaches! Beautiful pictures. Oh how I wish we were back there.
P.S. Did you ever pick up the t-shirt I left for you at Island Inn Pam?!
I was looking at some of my shells yesterday. I thought, I just LOVE looking at them. I’m not going to take any more because the joy is just in the looking. Then I get your pictures. You are absolutely right. The sight is breathtaking. I have to do the sanibel stoop. I have to pick them up. They are utterly irresistable. Thank you for the glorious pictures.
I love that first photo with the setting sun catching the edges of the shells!
Island Inn was where I first fell in love with Sanibel many many years ago.
Love the sunsets and the shells.
Yes I can imagine because I will be doing it next week! Come on Friday!!!!
15 days… I cant wait. Island Inn here we come…
Yes, yes I can picture myself doing the Sanibel Stoop and tomorrow afternoon I will be there doing it! I can’t wait to get there but it has finally arrived-my week in paradise,
Shelling Sister Susan-Panama City, Fl.
I love shelling near the island inn. My sister and I spend a good deal of time on that part of the beach…. the shelling can be wonderful with so much color from the scallops and the serenity of the swish of shells coming in.
Island Inn is my favorite place to stay. Everything is perfect, staff is most helpful, rooms are the best for cleanliness, amenities and space.
Hope to stay there again next year.
Love your pictures. I’ve never seen a Ruddy Turnstone before-I’ll have to on the lookout for it. I’m homesick for Sanibel. Have fun shelling this weekend. Pat
Can’t wait to travel to Sanibel Island Inn June 1st. My Husband and I are celebration our 40th wedding anniversary and wanted to enjoy the beach and shelling. First time on the Island. Your pictures are very beautiful of the sunset..Our bags are packed!

Just beautiful. I would love to hear the sound the waves make rolling over those shells.
