hi, I love your blog! I share your pics on my Facebook page. I am heading to Sanibel this coming Saturday the 20th. Will you be back from your vacation in Japan? Don’t you have like a gallery or shop on Sanibel? It would be nice to meet you. I am an extreme sheller and I love Sanibel. As always, my mission at Sanibel aside from a great family vacation time is to find a Junonia.
Thanks,
Sylvia Griner

Pam’s photos are hung inside Sealife by Congress which is an Amazing jewelry store. They are for purchase. It’s located in Pweiwinkle Place shopping center.
If you want to be sure of meeting Pam, check out one of her shelling trips. They are so much fun…I’ve been to Cayo Costa twice, and can’t wait to do the Big Hickory Island trip. There’s a trip to Big Hickory on June 22…

I might just do that, thanks!
Awesome Pam and Clark! Can’t wait for more details! Looks like your trip was a success!!
I always wanted to go shelling around the world but not sure if I will ever have the opportunity so THANK YOU so much for sharing with all of us so we can do a virtual shell tour around the world through this wonderful source provided by you. God Bless ! Pam
Hope you found sea glass and marbles because they haave beautiful ones. Love all the shells.
Well no wonder I haven’t spotted you at Blind Pass this past week. If you make it back before the end of this coming weekend would live to see you. I can’t believe you guys are in Japan!!! Hope you are having the best time ever.
I can’t wait to hear all of the details. It looks amazing!! This has me wondering if Lee and Susan are there now…?? Enjoy the rest of your trip and safe travels.
My husband is stationed in Okinawa and I spent the better part of a month shelling there in December! Email me if you need any advice, I have three beaches worth mentioning! Also, some of the guys who run the dive shops on the bases will be helpful if you’re interested in Scuba-ing for shells!
Hello Becca,
My wife and I are going to visit Okinawa in a few months, and you mentioned in 2015 three beaches that were good for shelling. I don’t see your email address — can you share those beaches? If not online, I can be reached at raymondbily (-at-) alum.mit.edu. Thank you!
Awesome! I’m looking forward to seeing your pics! I hope you find many many beautiful shells……
Oh my gosh! Those are SUPER-size cones! Can’t wait to see more!
Wow. I am away for 3 weeks with a Dutch Marine Expedition to Sint Eustatius in the Caribbean and that is pretty cool I must say, but Okinawa is really very impressive!
I SPY a gorgeous spider conch!!!! YAY!!!!!! <3
My husband and I just went shelling for 10 days in Okinawa for vacation in March. It was absolutely amazing!! It felt like we died and went to shell heaven!
WOW! Lucky shellers! I have Okinawa on my bucket list for sea glassing and shelling. I am so envious of the blue marble in your first picture as I’ve heard that there is an abundance of sea glass marbles to be found on their shores thanks to the Japanese soda bottles that contain the marbles in the necks. Those shells are amazing, too! That spider conch is smashing! When you have a chance, you might want to check out the PDF book written by one of my fellow Seaglasslovers on FB, Jason Harnasch, called Okinawa: Sea Shells and Seaglass – the photos are spectacular and it includes info on beaches and places to look for shells and glass. Can’t wait to hear all about your trip!
Awe!! I am currently living in Okinawa!!! We have the best beaches!! Enjoy your stay here!!
Absolutely AWESOME !!!! BEAUTIFUL !!!! so cool thanks for the pics
Can’t wait to see your treasures
Cannot wait to see all your shells, was looking on the internet for the kind of shells found in Okinawa and I saw some Lions Paw, hope you have a great time
Exshellent of course! Looks like some good finds – we were fortunate to find some of those same shells when we lived there in late ’80s. Can’t wait to hear “the rest of the story…”
I see I was wrong about guessing that you were in Okinawa now. I hope you have good shelling in your new location.
Woohoo, continue having an awesome vacation! Looking forward to seeing more of your shells when you return.
Ooh! This is exciting! I especially love SW Florida shells, but shells from anywhere get me excited! Can’t wait to see!!!!
Thanks again for taking us with you on a shelling trip that many of us won’t be able to take. When I watch Survivor I’m always looking at the beach for shells.
Will you do a shell ID of the shells you found? I love the shell that looks like some kind of scallop.
As also a Survivor fan, that’s the first thing I look for and can’t figure out why it always takes them days to use clams and crabs as a food source.
Great trip! My husband was stationed in Okinawa so one day he would like to go back (me too!). The shells you found are beautiful!
