And all those people who hit the stores for the after Christmas sales thought they “scored”! That’s fantastic. I found my best Baby’s Ears around there too.
What a wonderful gift–finding all those stinken cute wentles. Makes my heart go pitty pat. Best wishes for a healthy and happy new year from Jean, I Love Sheldon, Holycross. ☺️
I think probably no-one can resist the allure of the Wonderful White (most of them are white) Wentletrap!
Shellers really do need to look very carefully, as most of the wentletraps are super small. An extremely low minus tide (as per yesterday, which was a minus 0.9) usually really helps you find more of them. :)
Remember that the lowest tides are at the time of the full moon, and the time of the new moon, which are two weeks apart.
A little off-topic, but
Lost, GoPro camera In waterproof housing. North of Island Inn on 12.27/15. It has a small round plate on bottom for attaching to tripod. If found, in any condition, would love an email. Thank you.

It took me several years of trying while down there on vacation to actually find some. They were at the high tide line mixed with brown bubbles at Gulfside City Park beach in January of 2014. Good things come to those who work at it!!! BTW, I gave your apple snail canvas art to Annie for Christmas and she loves it!!! So beautiful and Melissa at Congress Jewelers was so helpful in making sure that it got here in time for Christmas! We’ll see you on the 1/21 shelling cruise!!! Best!!!
Hi, Pam. Your “BEST of 2015” inspired me to want to travel to new places for shelling so I was surfing the web for shelling trips and found shelltrips.com. I was hoping to get your opinion on a few things. Thanks a bunch!!!
Spent our first winter in Fort Myers this Jan- March. My goal was to find a wentletrap but never did find one. We’ll be back next winter so hope to have success next time. We enjoyed the shells we did find😄
Wentletraps are so fascinating to me! I think God was just showing off when he made them!

I looked hard for wentletraps at Lighthouse Beach a couple of weeks ago and found zip. Glad you found so many–they are among my favorite shells.

Hi April, I’ve never been on one of those trips so I can’t help much but she has been doing shell trips for a long time – so that says a lot.
