It took a great deal of patience not to immediately pounce on this LETTERED OLIVE, FIGHTING CONCH and 2 pieces of gorgeous CORAL but instead take the time to get a photo before a wave washed them away. Ā Same goes for this FLORDA CONE…
Heehee … but I did it to show you that sometimes the whole shells are hiding near broken bits of shell crush so they are harder to find. I spotted these shells on our iLoveShelling cruise with Sight Sea-R Cruises after we pulled up to this gorgeous island of Big Hickory last week.
The Gulf Of Mexico was calm, clear and dotted with shells along the shore.
But the best part of our trip was…. awesome shellers!
Finding awesome treasures!
…. And beach bling!
We were even treated to a DOLPHIN “show”. They followed our boat for so long and were so playful long side us, I think they wanted to hang out with us and see what kinds of shells we found.
It was a marvelous day surrounded with fabshellous folks. Thank yall for joining me!
Lets get together for a shelling day! Check out my upcoming dates… CLICK HEREĀ
I am so jealous! Our time on Sanibel does not coincide with your trips this year…Will have to do some serious shelling and just hope for a Pam sighting!!
Georgeous shells!
Martha (Marie’s younger sis)
We are joining you for a shelling trip on January 4th on Big Hickory Island. Can’t wait to do some serious shelling. :-) The morning low tide promises some good finds.
I like that beautiful beach-bling and shells picture!
It was a blast, thanks Pam!
Wish I were there love to go on shelling trips to “Big Hickory”.
Looks like people had good luck shelling! The alphabet cones are great!!!! I bet she was surprised.
Hope everyone had a great time!
Bill and I had a terrific time cruising to Big Hickory with you.Thank you for the shellucation (shell education)
Bob and I had at great time at Big Hickory! We found a lot of nice shells! Some of my shells are in the photo under the photo of the lady with the huge alphabet cone (so jealous!). I loved the dolphins that followed us out and back! What a show that one gave us when he jumped about 3 feet out of the water! This is my second trip with you and I’ve enjoyed them both. It won’t be my last trip though!
Check out our winning photo on Cakebread Cellars website. They have a photo contest every year and we always take our pictures on Sanibel. You will remember us as The Texas Cutie Cousins. We’ve been on several of your cruises. We hope we have made Sanibel proud!
How great to finally meet you after following your blog for years – a dream come true! Love my big alphabet cone. Hope you found the East coast shells I brought interesting. Thanks for a great trip.
Hey Pam.
Wondering where to find pictures of our Tuesday Nov 22 2016 CayoCosta trip we attended with You?
After the boat Capt took our group picture, you said you’d post the picture(s).
Feeling a lil sad, cause since our trip, you’ve posted Thanksgiving pictures
AND
that you posted a group picture of your Big Hickory Island trip on Nov 25 2016; & yet no mention, about our trip 3 days prior.
Hope to hear from you, or, at least see a post from you, informing those of us who attended the Nov22nd CayoCosta trip, of where to find said pictures and/or posts.
