We have gone shelling on beaches around the world but our latest adventure may have been to the most remote and fascinating islands yet. We found these shells the first 2 days of arriving then explored oodles of other beaches to find several other types we’ve never found before. Although the CLAMS in this photo are abshellutely beautiful and very common we didn’t bring them home since they aren’t allowed to be transported (Big Thanks HL for the heads up :) ). So this is just a little peek at our incredible shellcation and I’ll let y’all know where we traveled to on my next post…. but any guesses? Nope, not Hawaii or Japan ;)
Beautiful shells Pam! I think yall went to Fiji.
Does Clark still sell the Shelling scooper?
How would I purchase one? Coming in this Saturday
Thanks much,
Sandi Hill
These shells definitely don’t look like they came from Sanibel :)

Beautiful shells not matter where they were found! Question – Are you missing the post TS
visit to Sanibel? Have you heard if there were lots of shells that came in with the storm?
We just drove from Blind Pass this morning!..Loads of shells! The storm was what made us drive all the way from Savannah, Ga., at the spur of the moment..It was my very first visit, at 62 years old! Low tide was somewhere around 5pm and after spending 5 hours in the hot sun, we had to leave many yards, even miles of shells on a natural shelf, about 5 feet into to waves. We were exhausted..So many shells..I’d say 1/3 shells, 2/3 water.Seriously. It wasn’t for the faint of heart or anyone any older ( than us) tho’!! If we ever go again it will have to be in the cooler months and just do the non-wet shell walk. It was near 90 when we left. Ugh.!! I don’t know ( really ) if the storm made it any better, as I had never been & nothing to compare it to. I can’t imagine any more than it had!! .Hope this helps & you get to go!!

I vote Bora Bora too!!!!
Seychelles?
Maybe…Palau? Wherever you went, I’m so glad you had the chance to enjoy and spend time together. :-)
I vote The Seychelles…beautiful!
Love these shells. Too bad about the Clams. By the way, when will you be adding 2015 & ’16 to your Archives?
I’m thinking you went somewhere in the Pacific… Cook Islands? Is it a Small Giant Clam? Those Miter shells are fabulous! The sea biscuit looks like a rock. Is that a giant Auger on the top right? Now I’m super excited for my shellcation to Fort Myers/Sanibel next week. All we have in RI is slipper shells, quahogs, and jingles.
I love the distorsio. The only ones I have I bought!
I thought the Ohilipines too. Beautiful. Is shellenvy a long term condition?
Guam
I vote for Guam as well – maybe another of your military base visits…
The shells look like some I found while visiting Christmas Island, Kiribati. You must be in the South Pacific!
